Today I am going to write five things I've learned for the day...
1. Two year old girls say "No!" quite a bit...If you are my little girl you say it just like this: "No Mommy, NO!!" Because she likes to say things twice....Little does she know that instead of getting her point across better it only makes Mommy think how darn cute she is!!
2. I say "Just a minute." way to often...It's pretty funny when you ask your children to do something and the only response you get is "Just a mi-mut Mommy!!" Said in very familiar tone just like a Mom...ugh....I will work on that one!!
3. Scrappin' can be very good for the soul...I've been feeling a little down lately...Most of it is me just being tired, the other part is stress from long days of whiney 2 and 4 year olds, and another part is me just thinking about me and where I'm at in my scrappin' style (it sounds superficial I know but for the serious scrapper - which I have dubbed myself - you think about this often!!) I look at my work and some of it is so amazing but for every amazing one there is 3-4 mediocre ones...I'm trying to get to a point where every layout I do is amazing...I've decided I put too much thought into my layouts sometimes...For example I did two layouts today using the same kit (the super cute August Kit over at the Nook)....The first one I did I started two days ago and just never finished it...I was trying to think of what to add to make it perfect until i got to a point where i just gave up and called it good...Its not my favorite layout which is sad because I loved the picture I used:
Now in comparison I did another layout today and it only took me a couple of hours and i just went with where the paper took me...I put less thought into it and the result was AMAZING (In my opinion of course...haha!)...Here is my mental note --> GO WITH THE FLOW AND DON"T OVER THINK THINGS!!
(Journaling can be found HERE)
Anyway back to my point, the reason why scrapping is good for my soul is because when I finished this layout my heart was happy...I love that feeling of lighter shoulders and a clearer mind...That is what I got when I finished that layout...YAY for good mojo!! :)
4. All my nagging to my children about cleaning up finally paid off today....Porter took the initiative and cleaned up the house...he cleaned his room, made his bed, cleaned up the living room and put all his clothes in the hamper...I was so proud of him!! This is my son who throws a royal fit if I ask him to put his shoes away so I was in utter awe of this amazing feat...I'm so proud of him!!
5. I have always been a fan of Blink-182 and was very sad when they broke up....today I found out where the lead singer has gone!! He started a new band called Angels and Airwaves and THEY ARE AMAZING!! Their sound is alot like U2 and they have a new album coming out in October...I will be getting it for sure!! You can listen to some of their songs here...
Ok, well was that so bad?? I hope i wasn't too boring....I'll leave you with a couple of layouts I've done this past week...bye bye for now!! :)
Here are a couple digital ones:
Oh, and here are a couple of my favorite ones using the Daisy Buckets paper...So much fun!!
This is one of their brand new lines of paper...I LOVE this line!! (it's called Garden Gate)
Ok...I'll post the rest of my Daisy Bucket layouts next time!! I'm sleepy!! :)

Hi Cousin!
Again I am amazed at your work...you are soooo talented! It is always fun to read your blog. When are you coming to Idaho? Let's try and plan a get-together with the other cousins. Keep up the good work!
