A photo journal...

YAY!! I'm back....we had such a wonderful trip!! It was so beautiful....like literally take your breath away at points and you just can't help but to sit back and just be in awe of this beautiful world we live in....We drove to Knoxville and then up through Cade's Cove (which is an area of land where a bunch of old cabins and church's are sprinkled about and pretty much left unchanged from the 1800's....It was so amazing) then we drove on up to Gatlinburg and I tell you what that drive was amazing...winding up and through the Smokey Mountains where every tree was a different color...Amazing!! We stayed in Gatlinburg for a few hours then drove to Seiverville where the boys went to a go-kart track and Lily and I went to a giant scrapbooking store...it was AWESOME!! :) To spare you anymore boring details, I'll just show you pictures...they are much funner!!

We went to this really old church in Cade's Cove (circa 1820) and out back they had an old graveyard.....so cool!!

I thought this barn was just awesome (it was made using a cantilever design...this style provided better protection for their animals...)

Look at that roof - I thought those old wood shingles just looked so cool!!

An old homestead...it was so cool to go inside and imagine how the people back in the 1800's used to live....they were much shorter then....Ben (who is 6'2") kept hitting his head on door frames and ceilings....)

Don't you just want to squeeze them?? I do.... :)
