Slacker...

Hi there!! So I have been a slacker blogger...I sure do hope that after I have this baby I'll have more energy to sit up and do stuff...All I want to do is take naps since I have constant insomnia from this baby...maybe I should just blog late at night?? :) Speaking of little babies here is the latest picture of little baby Emmett:


I went in last Wednesday for an ultrasound and found out he is averaging two weeks bigger in size (meaning the average of the measurements of his head, chest, legs, etc.) They are wanting me to go in for another ultrasound next week to see if he's still big...One thing I do know for sure is that I am ALL baby and now I have proof!! The doctor even told me he was big!! Thank goodness I'm having a C-Section then right?? Maybe they'll let me have him even earlier??!? All I know is that this kid is getting extra whippin's when he comes out...he sure has been a stinker!! Seriously though I do love seeing the ultrasound pics....it makes me even more curious as to what he'll look like!! I'm so excited for next month!! I bought some little tiny pacifiers and a car seat this week...I just can't wait!! :)

I made this layout using the new line "Playful Petals" from Daisy Bucket Designs...Its one of my new favs!! Such pretty colors....it sure does make me happy (as does the adorable little girl in the layout...she is too dang cute!!)

In other news Porter had a rough time as school last week...They evaluate the students everyday on their performance by a different colored bear. Blue is the best, then green, then yellow, then red being the worst (time out and a note home from the teacher). Porter has been bringing home blue bears every single day until last week where he got every single color you can get!! I'm hoping he was just tired and crabby and that this won't be a permanent trend...a couple of the bad bears came as a result of Porter being vehemently against anyone touching anywhere around his head (he's been like that since he was little - talk about a chore whenever I try to wash his hair!!) Anyway, a little girl wouldn't let go of the collar of his shirt and he freaked out about it...I forgot to mention that little tidbit of info to the teacher so I think I need to do that...I'm sure hoping for a better week!!

On a better note Lily was an angel this week (what's up with that?!?!) She was happy every morning and never gave me one problem...Did my kids mind/body switch?? Yesterday Ben was teasing her and calling her a stinker and she put her hands on her hips and said "I am NOT a stinker, I am just a sweetheart!!" So dang cute!! Porter has become obsessed (and I mean OBSESSED) with drawing...it is rare to find him without a notebook and pencil in hand...I LOVE IT!! I'll have to scan some of his drawings in and post them...he really does a good job!! His art teacher even pulled me aside and praised him up and down on how well he does...It makes me so proud!! He's such a good boy!

It's starting to cool off around here and I couldn't be happier...I'm so over heat and humidity!! It's been nice leaving my windows open and letting the kids go outside at night...YAY!! The other day I was browsing Craigslist for baby stuff and found a post about a free photography session with a girl around here...I was so excited!! She posted a preview on her blog and I'll be getting the pics later...You can see them HERE...just click on blog at the top of the page then scroll down to Maternity Session: Amanda (you might have to look in the archives (link is at the bottom of the page)....Brinn seriously did an amazing job!! She is just starting up her business here in Nashville and is the biggest sweetheart with an adorable little boy...we are going to meet up again and let the kids play...Watch for more pics from her after I have the baby because I will be asking her to do a newborn session for me for sure!! :)
