Busy, busy...

So I'm up to my neck in boxes and junk....literally...I do have a big ol' stack of boxes in the corner of my house that keeps getting bigger and bigger and we close on our house in one week from tomorrow!! EEK!! This is all coming up so quick...I'm so happy/scared/anxious/excited...I'm mostly just THANKFUL to be out of apartments...Its been an experience that I wouldn't trade in or wish I never had to and I truly think it only makes me that much more thankful to finally be in a house...I found the perfect color for my kitchen (YAY!) and I think I nailed down what I want to do for a back-splash (double yay!) and I'll for sure post more pics of the house when I'm able too....For now it's just the matter of getting from point A to point B...I'll be glad when we are in and can "relax".

So.....this little guy is 4-1/2 months old...Can you believe it?!?!

He even "mostly" rolled over onto his tummy today...I'm sure within a week or so he'll be rolling all over the floor...My baby is growing up too fast!! :(

I keep trying to get a good picture of him smiling but he just stares at the camera with a "What in the world is that thing" look on his face...What can I say? He would rather look at me and smile versus a silly camera...



I just love him... :)

Don't Porter and Lily look so grown up?? My how time flies!!

So Porter hurt his finger pretty bad last week...He was trying to go outside and the wind slammed the door shut before he could get outside...it completely ripped his fingernail on his right pinky out of the nail bed...With out explaining in detail *shudder* I'll just say it was BAD....two stitches and 5-1/2 hours in an ER and it seems to be doing alright...Poor thing - he is traumatized by needles now I think (because they had to inject some numbing stuff in a few spots) he screamed the loudest I think I have ever heard him scream...it literally broke my heart!! The best part of the whole night was when Porter would complain to everyone who walked by, by saying "What's taking so long?!? You guys are being so slow!!" That was funny...Lily is delving even deeper into this whole "I'm a princess" thing...Its rather sweet...I overheard her telling Porter about how when she grows up she's going to marry her charming prince and live in a giant castle built by her daddy who is the king....so stinkin' cute!! She also loves to wear dresses all the time now and she'll ask, more than once mind you, if she looks pretty while she twirls around and around...People keep telling me she's my little clone...I'm ok with that!! :)

I made that using the GORGEOUS March kit from the Nook...its by far my most favorite, however, the April kit - which just showed up at my door - is giving March a run for it's money:


Pretty eh?? Leah is AMAZING at putting these kits together...She's my idol!!

Also I have GREAT news....I'm being published!! There is an online scrapbooking magazine called Scrapbook News and Review...they requested THREE of my layouts for their March magazine...I'm so excited!!

I also made this very simple layout but I think I'm going to switch out the background paper...I just don't think the kraft paper cardstock is cutting it!!

I made that using a sketch from Zarah's Sketch blog...its a great place for inspiration!! ;)

Anyway, its somewhat late and I should probably head to bed...or maybe I'll make something with the April kit...I just can't decide!! If you don't hear back from me in awhile it means I'm without internet enjoying my new home...I do hope to get the internet back quickly...I'd be lost without it!!
