We are alive!!

Yes, its been awhile but I'm not going to apologize....I needed a break!! Three kids and a new house was what needed my attention- and that's where it's been....now that's its fall/wintertime, things are starting to slow down some, so here I am - writing a little something for anybody who might still check this thing!! I think for the sake of a boring post with me just blabbing on about stuff nobody really cares to hear I'll just post a smorgasbord of pictures from the last few months so sit back and enjoy... :)

**Disclaimer** A bunch of these pictures were taken by the camera on my Iphone so I apologize for their quality!!

Here are some of cute mister Emmett:

He makes this face when he's trying to be silly....I love it!!

My dad was able to come out and visit for a week...I'm so grateful he was able too- it was a much needed visit!! ♥

LOVE this one!!

and this one:

Porter started 1st grade and he is at the top of his class...he can read and write just about anything now!!

We went to the aquarium in Chattanooga again and in the butterfly section the kids thought it was so cool that they both had butterflies land on them...I had one land on my head but sadly didn't get a picture...it was funny because I couldn't get it off!!

The kids spent ALOT of their time this summer playing on this steal I got from Craiglist...$100 with free delivery!!

Porter turned 7....I can't believe how fast he is growing up....He is such a thoughtful kid and still quite the artist....He has even starting writing little books with his own illustrations...so cute!!

Emmett turned one year old, can you believe it?? That year went by much faster than I would have liked but he is such a good baby...I'm so thankful for him!

(A funny story about this cupcake...he would touch it with one finger and lick the frosting off of it but he wouldn't pick it up....he was getting mad too because he wanted to eat it....we had to pick it up and give him bites!!)

I love my boys!!

and my girl!!

So, I know I've said it before but it bears saying again.....Fall is GORGEOUS here in Tennessee...its one of the things that makes living here completely worth it....all the trees in my yard pretty much looked like this one:

LOVE IT!!
I made this wreath with some help from my Dad...I think it turned out pretty!! (Thanks Dad!)

We went to a pumpkin patch and the kids had so much fun (well except for Emmett....I had forgotten my stroller that day so I had to carry him everywhere and by the end he was so over it and my arm were so sore I could barely hold him...next year will be perfect!)

Halloween was fun...Lily was a fairy:

Porter was a googly-eye monster:

Emmett was a cute baby (something he pulled off quite well i think!! )

We also went on a trip to North Carolina to see Ben's sister Becca's family as well as his mom who flew into town...it was a very good trip where I sadly didn't take very many pictures...I need to remember to do that more!!

We got our family pictures taken last weekend by my dear friend Christy...she does such an AMAZING job!! Here is a link to her blog where you can see more of her amazing pictures!! So for the last picture take a gander at this beauty:

Thank you Christy!!

Well there you go!! I hope you enjoyed this photo bloated entry....I'll write again soon!! :)

Wow! I am completely jealous of Lily's fabulous hair! I can't keep my daughters' hair long unless we want a daily dose of screaming at unholy decibels. I love your family pictures, you look just as amazing as you did back in college!
