It's been so long I forgot my password...

Man, that's embarrasing...good thing I'm going to toss these picture out there really quick to make you forget my folly!

Emmett is getting SO big...He'll be 2 at the end of next month...*sniff*

I caught this shot on my iphone (so excuse the quality) but I thought it was sweet...

Lily has grown up (mentally and physically) so much the past couple months...

Isn't she pretty?

She started Kindergarten last week...She had a hard time with thinking she was going to be alone all day, but after that first day she was just excited! She told me she has 3 best friends already! :)

She was just giggling this whole time...

After this shot she turned and blew me a kiss and waved...she was so cute (and ready for me to leave!)

And when I went to pick her up she was giggling the whole way to the car and the first thing she told me was, "Mom, that was the greatest day!" I'm so glad she is doing so well...her teacher has even written me a note telling me how helpful she is to this one girl in her class who is still scared to go to Kindergarten...Lily has been playing with her and trying to make her feel better...I'm so thankful for Lily's sweet nature...it will take her far!

Porter started 2nd grade:

He's not loving school so much but I'm still trying to find a reason for him to be excited about it but it's hard...I hope this year is better for him and he can find a reason to want to go each day! (Any suggestions?)

I swear this kid can't take a bad photo...he had been riding his bike around for 20 minutes so he's hot and sweaty and out of breath and I just said, "Hey Porter, let me take your picture!" So he turned and this is the shot I got...he's so beautiful.

Porter had to get 3 teeth pulled...he has inherited my tiny mouth and large teeth...see that space right there on the bottom? 4 adult teeth are supposed to go there...the two that are growing in fill up the entire space...I forsee ALOT of money going to his orthodondist....*sigh*

We've had a wonderful summer...I didn't take nearly enough photo's and I'm kicking myself for it...

We did go to Flordia for a long weekend...it was awesome and much needed...Wish I could have stayed longer!

Emmett hated the entire time we spent at the beach however...he's deathly afraid of water (bathtime is a nightmare) so he basically sat still with his burp-cloth over his eyes the entire time trying to go to his "happy place"....poor thing!

My garden was kinda crazy this year...we had pumpkins and gourds and cucumber that pretty much choked everything else out and caterpilliars destroyed my tomatoes (SAD!) so I didn't get much this year....I did however get enough cucumbers to kill a person....I even went all domestic and CANNED PICKLES!! Every single jar sealed too...I was so proud of myself!! I've been busy being a 'homemaker' if you will with a bunch of little projects I've made but I'm going to save those for another post (and to give me some more time to photograph them all so I can share) I've been all sorts of crafty! :)

Well I must go pick up my kids from school now...its been SO quiet while they are gone and when Emmett takes a nap...I have SO MUCH more time on my hands - its amazing! Anyway, until next time!
